Ghosts of shopping lists past

It was pouring rain today so I pulled out my long raincoat to wear to pick Cory up from school. In the pocket I found 31 euro cents, and a 2+year old shopping list from when we lived in Paris.

lardons -bacon
Emmenthaler Rape (grated emmenthaler cheese)
pate brise (pie crust)
hand soap
butter
raspberry jam
peppercorns
ziploc bags
milk
bread

From the looks of the list, I must have been making a quiche. Funny how things don't change... :)

Pet Peeves...

My pet peeve of the day is educators who misuse the word 'good'. 'Someone' told me today "Cory did good today". You mean, "Cory did well today" right? Are basic grammar skills too much to ask for in today's educators? I guess I'm just a stickler for proper word usage. I think we can blame my 8th grade English teacher Mrs. Mele. She was a beast of a teacher, but everyone who came out of her class with an appreciation of proper English and grammar. My normal everyday pet peeve is when people use 'anxious' instead of 'eager'. These 2 words are NOT synonyms. Anxious comes from the noun 'anxiety'. Lets all keep that in mind.
